1840's Concert Dress
1840's shape dress made using African print waxed cotton. Complete with a matching headwrap and concealed pocket, the dress has dramatic puffed sleeves, popular in the era. The bodice panels are pattern matched and fastens at the front using covered buttons and hidden hooks and eyes.
Made for soprano Gweneth Ann Rand for performances at Oxford Lieder Festival and Wigmore Hall.
